Heisman Watch: Marcus Mariota Leads Pack of Quarterbacks

Husker Corner Heisman Watch Week 7

1) Marcus Mariota, QB, Oregon: The Ducks quarterback averages 339 yards of total offense per game and has led Oregon to a perfect 5-0 start to the 2013 season. The sophomore has 248 yards rushing to go along with his 1358 hards he has through the air. He also has a total of 21 touchdowns. Seven of those cam against Colorado on Saturday.

2) Teddy Bridgewater, QB,Louisville: Like Mariota, Bridgewater has his team sitting at 5-0 on the year. The junior quarterback has sixteen touchdowns on the season with just one interception.

3) Tajh Boyd, QB, Clemson: Boyd has been a beast this season. He has 14 touchdowns through the air and another four scores rushing. The junior was most impressive last weekend against Syracuse going 20-27 for 355 yards and five touchdowns.

4) Johnny Manziel, QB, Texas A&M: Johnny Football has picked up where he left of from his Heisman performance last year. The sophomore has 17 touchdowns on the season, including five against number one Alabama. He averages 361 yards of total offense per game.

5) Jameis Winston, QB, Florida State: The redshirt freshman has done already made people forget about E.J. Manuel. He had just under 400 yards passing last weekend against then number 25 Maryland. He has thrown for four touchdowns or more three times this season. His 19 total touchdowns have been impressive and the Noles are in good hands with him behind center.
