Three Illini Players To Watch:
1) Nathan Scheelhaase, QB: Scheelhaase has been stellar in 2013. He leads The Big Ten in several offensive categories and had a huge game on Saturday against Miami of Ohio. Scheelhaase is not a huge threat on the ground, but he is elusive enough to cause the Nebraska defense problems. He has a cannon for an arm and has a good group of receivers to throw to.
2) Josh Ferguson, RB: The sophomore running back can hurt you a few ways out of the backfield. He can run, but might be more valuable as a receiver. He leads the team in receiving yards with 262 yards and three touchdowns. He averages 22 yards per catch and averages 6.5 yards per carry. He could deal the linebackers and secondary a lot of problems on Saturday.
3) Ryan Lankford, WR: Lankford is right behind Ferguson in receiving yards and receptions for the Illini. He will probably be cloaked by Stanley Jean Baptiste or Ciante Evans this weekend. Lankford is coming off of his best season at Illinois and is looking to have a career year in 2013. He was only targeted one time against Miami, but look for Scheelhaase to throw his way frequently this weekend.
