The Nebraska Cornhuskers kick off their 2013 season against The Wyoming Cowboys at Memorial Stadium. To get some insight into Wyoming football, I spoke with Kyle Kensing from Satruday Blitz about the Cowboys and what to expect on Saturday.
We spoke about quarterback Brett Smith and his capabilities. Kyle and I also talked about what Wyoming needs to do in order to compete with the Huskers this weekend. He answers questions about the Cowboys defense and what they have to do to have a chance at taking down Nebraska.
Johnny Manziel and the NCAA are another topic that we cover. How big of a joke is his half game suspension for Autograph Gate? Does suspending Manziel for one half against Rice make any sense in a case where there was no concrete evidence of a violation? I also make a prediction about the future of college football’s governing body.
I close out the show talking about Bo Pelini handing out blackshirts to seven defenders yesterday, and what the tradition of the Blackshirts has meant during the Pelini Era.
Husker Corner Radio returns this coming Monday with a recap of the Nebraska vs Wyoming game and all of the other college football action from the weekend.
