We have all seen Bo Pelini burst out with anger on the sidelines. It could be directed at a referee or one of his own players (just ask Taylor Martinez). At the same time, Pelini is starting to show us that he can also be humorous.
On August 16th after the teams first practice, they gathered in the team meeting room to go over a few things. He and Thad Randle played a little prank on the team. This is what happened…
It shows a side of Pelini that the public doesn’t see much of. Playing a prank on his team, keeping them loose, and then all of them going out to watch a movie instead of having the second practice.
What Pelini is doing is a great example of team building. Things like this can really bond players and coaches. It’s obvious they are having fun during camp. Sure, they are working their tails off but it’s obvious that the vibe for the 2013 Nebraska Cornhuskers is much different than it has been in previous years under Pelini.
We have heard all of the talk about leadership, new captains, and young players making strides. It looks like head coach Bo Pelini is doing the same. Humor isn’t a bad thing coach, you should show more of it.
