Coach: Steve Spurrier

2012 Record: Overall 11-2   SEC (6-2)

South Carolina is one of the best teams in the nation coming into the 2013 season. Looking back at last year, their only losses came to LSU and Florida. Quarterback Connor Shaw is back for his senior season, and his name could be thrown into the Heisman mix by seasons end. He has several high quality targets to throw to, and junior wide receiver Bruce Ellington is looking to have a breakout season. Two young running backs in Mike Davis and Brandon Wilds look to make an impact behind Shaw.

The Gamecock defense is one of the best in the nation. Senior defensive tackle Jadeveon Clowney is the best defensive player in the country, and there is no debating it. The defensive until finished the 2012 season in the top 25 of most statistical categories, and could be gearing up for a more impressive showing this year.

2013 Outlook: The South Carolina Gamecocks might make their move to become Kings of The SEC in 2013. I believe their offense will be better than last years group, and this defense has already started giving the opposition nightmares. Steve Spurrier knows what it takes to win national championships, and this team is capable of bringing home the first in school history.
