12- Florida Gators:

Coach: Will Muschamp

2012 Record: Overall 11-1   SEC (7-1)

The Florida Gators had a great 2012 season that included victories over Texas A&M, LSU, South Carolina, and Florida State. A strong Gator defense finished in the top 20 of most defensive categories and with the fifth best overall defense in the nation. Florida only has three starters from last years group. Cornerback Loucheiz Pruifoy, safety Jaylen Watkins, and defensive tackle Dominique Easley will be the anchors charged with continuing The Florida Gators defensive dominance this season.

The Gator offense will be led by junior quarterback Jeff Driskel. The duel threat quarterback looks to recharge the Florida’s attack after a disappointing statistical season in 2012. While Driskel is effective as a scrambler, his numbers through the air were less than attractive. Only four other starters return to the unit, including three offensive lineman.

2013 Outlook: Everything will come down to Driskel and the Gator offense. If they can throw the ball and keep their SEC opposition honest, this is a team that could be a team that contends for a conference crown. If they cannot evolve 2013 could be a long season in Gainesville. I expect a nine or ten win season from The Florida Gators.
