2013 Nebraska Cornhuskers Football: What to Do Until Kickoff?

With 70 days left until The Nebraska Cornhuskers kick off their 2013 season against Wyoming, we are left with several weeks of Saturdays trying to occupy our time doing other things. Every week until kickoff, we at Husker Corner will count down the things to help ready you for football season.

10) Update The Man Cave:

We all have that spot in the house where we slip away for some gaming action or to watch the big game. With Nebraska Football approaching, it’s time to get things organized and maybe even add a few new pieces to the Man Cave. Maybe it’s a new paint job, Scarlet and Cream would do the trick. Perhaps it’s a new autographed photo or football.

Maybe you need that new flat screen to watch the Huskers run at a Big Ten Championship, or a surround sound system so that the room shakes when Ameer Abdullah goes for an 80 yard touchdown run.

We all miss football, and it is growing increasingly more difficult to be patient for the season to start. Maybe working on the man cave can get you through another week without The Tunnel Walk, the first release of the balloons after the first touchdown of the season, or the first time Bo Pelini gets angry at a reporter for a stupid question. Be diligent Husker Nation, football is near.

Nebraska should’ve stayed in the Big 12. The Big Ten is a joke (at least in football, bball is pretty good, league wise) and with the new divisions the cornhuskers won’t get annual games against the other three blue bloods in that conference and instead get to play mighty Iowa, Illinois and Rutgers (for east coast exposure even if it’s a joke team). I realize I’m a Jayhawk fan and can’t talk football. But it’s the offseason where anything goes and we are all bored anyway

Thanks for the comment! You’re right, it is offseason time for all major sports other than the two baseball teams still in action.
