6-foot-4, 225 lb. Greg Hart, from Dayton, OH. committed to Nebraska on May 16. He visited Lincoln twice, and decided to pull the trigger. Now he will visit Nebraska on September 28, for the Wisconsin game as official Nebraska commit.

“I have visited Lincoln a couple times now, and  I saw all the academic stuff and the campus,” Hart said. “When I go down there in September, I just want to enjoy myself, and the game. I am looking forward to hanging out with (Nebraska Linebacker Commit) Josh Banderas, and (Husker Commit) Nathan Gerry.”

After committing to Nebraska, Hart has done a little recruiting of his own.

“Yeah, I try to Facebook guys, and talk to them about Nebraska,” Hart said. “I kind of send stuff to any guys I know are interested. I talk to guys like  (Nebraska defensive tackle target) Donovan Munger, and (Nebraska corner back targer) Priest Willis. Guys like that. Mostly just guys my age.”

When asked why he picked Nebraska, Hart got excited to talk about his future.

“I picked Nebraska for many reasons,” Hart said. “It all starts with academics. When I  visited, I saw all the things they had to offer academicly, and all the community service stuff was great. I felt really comfortable with coach Marrow, and coach Beck and what they are doing with the offense. I can see coach Pelini being like a father figure to me.”

With the departure of senior tight ends Ben Cotton, and Kyler Reed at the end of this season, the coaching staff told Hart, they have big plans for him.

“The coaches see me as an H-back coming in like, a Kyler Reed type guy,” Hart said. “As I get older they see me being more of a well rounded tight end. They explained it to me, like a 250 lb. guy who can run the field. The coaches said the tight end spot could be open, that I have great chance of competing as a freshman coming in, because I am  more of a spread the field type guy. They said that is what they are looking for.”

Hart runs a  4.63 40-yard dash time.

Hart went on to say that his recruiting process is over. He is only planning on visiting Nebraska, and he is 100% satisfied with his choice.

With his senior season coming up at, Archbishop Alter in Dayton, Hart has set some high personal goals for himself, and his teammates.

“I want to maximize my potential this year,” Hart said. ” I want to be All-State, and All-Conference,  and all that good stuff. I just want to do what ever I can to help my team when a state championship first. ”
