Nebraska’s Most Wanted

Nebraska is over 50 scholarships offered to 2013 recruits. Here is the list of the most wanted prospects of those awarded scholarship offers.

1. Su’a Cravens, Safety,  Vista Murrieta High School, Murrieta, California: Cravens is the number one safety in the nation according to the Fansided 150 that will debut next week. He is a 5 star prospect that every team in the country wants.  He and his high school coach have showed interest in Nebraska. The No. 4 over all player in the country has more than 30 scholarship. He will keep this top spot on our  list until he commits to a school.

2.Ethan Pocic, Offensive Line, Lemont High School, Lemont, Illinois: Pocic is the No. 2 rated offensive tackle in the Fansided 150. He is the No. 23  over all prospect in the class. Pocic is 6-foot-7, 285 lb., and is the type of offensive tackle you can build your program around. He moves well, and is one of the most explosive offensive linemen we have seen in the last 10 years.

3. A.J. Natter, Deffensive End, Milton High School, Milton, Wisconsin: The Wisconsin native did land on the Fansided 150, but he is not the most talented player on Nebraska’s list. He is however, at the position with the most need. With the loss of four players at the defensive end position, Natter is one of the biggest needs for this class. He loves Nebraska, and could be considered a slight Nebraska lean at this point in the recruiting process.

4. Kyle Bosch, Offensive Line, St. Francis High School, Wheaton,Illinois:  Other than defensive end, offensive line is the second biggest need in this class. Pocic, and Bosh are both in Big Ten country, and are possible gets for Nebraska.  Bosch is the No. 56 rated player in the country. He has over 20 offers, and would be a great start to a great offensive line class.

5. Laquon Treadwell, Wide Receiver, Crete Monee High School, Crete, Illinois: Treadwell is the No. 4 wide receiver in the country, and the No. 25 over all player. The 4 star prospect is 6-foot-3, 183 lb. and has explosive speed. He could use a little more weight on his frame, but would be a great addition to a young and talented wide receiving core. He has the speed outside of the hash-marks that Nebraska needs opposite Kenny Bell.

6. Garrett Sickels, Defensive End, Red Bank Regional High School, Little Silver, New Jersey: Sickels is rated higher than Natter on the Fansided 150 at No. 57 over all, and the No. 6 rated defensive end in the country. Natter is more likely to end up at Nebraska. Sickels is as wide open as any prospect in the country. He is 6-foot-4, 225 lbs, he has great hands, and even better vision.

7. Malik Zaire, Quarterback, Archbishop Alter High School, Kettering, Ohio: Zaire landed on the Fansided 150, and has been overly verbal about having Nebraska as one of his top schools. The 6-foot-1, 190 lb., dual-threat signal caller holds a handful of offers, and fits Nebraska’s system perfectly. Zaire has great feet in the pocket, and throws well on the run.

8. Joe Mathis, Defensive End, Upland High School, Upland, California: Mathis is a talented defensive with blazing speed for a guy with a 6-foot-4, 250 lb., frame. He is still a little raw, and could use his hands a little better, but is talent that Bo Pelini, and Rick Kaczenski have made into stars.

9. Priest Willis, Cornerback, Marcos De Niza High School, Tempe, Arizona: Willis landed on the Fansided 150 because of his multiple offers and greatskills. The 4 star prospect breaks on the ball as well as any corner in the country. At 6-foot-2, 200 lbs., he is ready for the next level right now. With one more year of football to fill out his frame even more, Willis can only help himself. He now holds over 15 scholarships, one from the Huskers.

10. Keith Ford, Runningback, Cypress Ranch High School, Cypress, Texas: Ford isn’t the highest rated running back in the nation, but he is very talented. At 5-foot-11, 195 lbs., he is not the biggest back, but he is a very shifty, and fits the look of what Nebraska has recruited recently. Shifty, small, and blazing speed. Ford will be one recruit from this class to keep an eye on.
