Nebraska’s Most Wanted (2013)

Nebraska has a limited amount of scholarships offered to 2013 recruits. Here is a list of the top 10 prospects. They are listed from 1 to 10. One being the most desired prospect, and the rest listed through ten as needed as added depth to the roster, and most talented.

1. Su’a Cravens, Safety,  Vista Murrieta High School, Murrieta, California: Cravens has over 30 scholarship offers from all around the country. Cravens is 6-foot-1, 205 lb safety who hits like a linebacker. Cravens is considered to be an early USC lean. He is regarded as one of the top prospects in the country.

2.Ethan Pocic, Offensive Line, Lemont High School, Lemont, Illinois: Pocic is the type of offensive linemen that you build a team around for the next four years. Pocic is 6-foot-7, 285 lbs. He is the prototypical offensive linemen that you will see playing on Sundays. His motor never stops running. Pocic is as polished of an offensive linemen as you are going to find any where in the country.

3. Eli Woodard, Cornerback, Eastern High School, Voorhees, New Jersey: Woodard is the type of cornerback that, head coach Bo Pelini has been looking for. He is 6-foot-1, 185 lbs., and is the physical type of corner that Pelini’s secondary has been missing. Pelini has helped make corners like Prince Amukamara, and Alfonzo Dennard become possible first round draft picks.  Pelini could use the New Jersey native as a staple in his defense for the next four years. He is the type of player that could get Nebraska to the next level on the national level.

4. Kyle Bosch, Offensive Line, St. Francis High School, Wheaton,Illinois: Offensive line will be a big need for the Huskers after the 2013 season.  The Huskers will need to land a couple big time recruits to help fill out the offensive line for the next four years. Bosch will be a great start. He is 6-foot-5, 285 lb. and holds offers from 6 of the 12 Big Ten schools, along with several other offers.

5. Jacorey Warrick, Wide Receiver, Cypress Falls High School, Houston, Texas: Warrick is a Percy Harvin-esk type of wide receiver.  He is 5-foot-11, 170 lbs., but is lightning quick. He can make tacklers miss in the open field, out run a corner, and is not afraid to lower his shoulder. He holds a handful off offers, but could be a great addition to an already talented receiving core in Lincoln.

6. A.J. Natter, Deffensive End, Milton High School, Milton, Wisconsin: Natter is 6-foot-5, 240 lbs. He would be a huge get for Nebraska. Not only for his talent, but because it would pull him out of a rival state in Wisconsin. The home state Badgers have not offered Natter, but it’s only a matter of time before the major offers start rolling in for the talented defensive linemen.

7. Marcus McWilson, Safety, Cardinal Mooney High School, Youngstown, Ohio: McWilson is another Youngstown, Ohio native that Bo Pelini is trying to bring to Nebraska.  McWilson is a big time safety at 6-foot-0, 195 lb. safety who also spent time playing runningback, and linebacker in high school.

8. Deon Hollins, Linebacker, Fort Bend Marshall High School, Missouri City, Texas: Hollins is a big time play maker, and a bone crushing hitter. He is 6-foot-2, 215 lbs., and would be higher on this list if Nebraska hadn’t landed four big time linebacker recruits in the 2012 class. Hollins would still be a huge get for the 2013 class.

9. Toby Johnson, Defensive Tackle, Hutchinson Community College, Hutchinson Community College: Defensive tackle will be a big issue in this class and the next. Johnson is 6-foot-4, 290 lbs., and will be a great start to this class. The 2013 class will need to land 2 to 3 defensive tackles in this class.

10. Kenny Lacy, Offensive Tackle, Mountain Pointe High School, Phoenix, Arizona: Lacy is the cousin of Nebraska offensive tackle Marcel Jones. He is very high on the Huskers early, and plans on attending the Nebraska Spring Game. He is 6-foot-5, 260 lbs. He is also friends with current Nebraska defensive tackle, Todd Peat Jr., and 2012 recruit Avery Moss. Lacy’s ties to Nebraska could make the Huskers the early front runner for this 2013 offensive tackle.
